Math Placement Exam
The MATH Placement Exam is a diagnostic tool to assess your readiness for calculus coursework and it is not a pass / fail exam. Your exam score will be used for your placement in either Precalculus (MATH 5) or Calculus I (MATH 11 or 21). We would like to highlight that it is important to start with the appropriate math class level.
Students are highly advised to work on this placement exam without using any external aids or resources. The purpose of this test is to find an accurate course placement based on your current mathematical knowledge, and the use of any outside resources will only hinder your success in the long run as you may be placed in a course for which you are not prepared.
